Candidates About

My name is Rochel Andrea Tarroyo. I'm a Filipino currently residing in Indonesia, and I'm an Mathematics Teacher with almost six years of teaching experience.

I currently teach Senior High School students under the Cambridge Curriculum, including IGCSE Mathematics and AS and A Level Mathematics. I've also worked with students from different academic levels and learning styles, both online and in classroom settings.

As a Mathematics  Teacher, my goal is to make math clear, engaging, and easy to understand. I break down difficult concepts into simple steps, use examples and guided practice, and make sure students fully understand the topic before moving forward.

I truly believe that every student can improve in math with the right guidance, patience, and encouragement. My goal is not only to help students achieve better grades, but also to build their confidence and problem-solving skills.

I'm patient, organized, and comfortable using different teaching tools. I always prepare my lessons ahead of time, design creative slides, and use fun online games and applications for reviews and exercises.

Education

I graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in Mathematics, from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines–Sta. Mesa, Manila. While submitting applications for a teaching position to private schools, I decided to pursue a master's degree at Trece Martires City College in Cavite City, Philippines. I completed my Master of Arts in Education, major in Educational Management, in 2019.

Work & Experience

After completing my college degree, I focused on finishing my master's degree while reviewing for the Licensure Examination. In 2018, I was accepted at St. Martin Montessori School, a private school in Angono, Rizal, where I worked as a Mathematics Teacher handling Grade 3–4 students. After completing my contract, I applied to and was hired by a government (public) school in Binangonan as a Mathematics Teacher. I taught Grade 5 Mathematics at Calumpang Elementary School for almost three years.

In 2023, I decided to transition to a higher level—Senior High School—to further enhance my skills and subject knowledge in Mathematics. I was hired and began teaching Grade 11 Mathematics at Don Jose Ynares Sr. Memorial National High School on July 29, 2024. Aspiring to teach Mathematics outside the Philippines, I applied to schools in Indonesia in 2025 and was hired by Nation Star Academy in June 2025. After completing all required documentation and obtaining my work permit, I relocated to Indonesia on September 29, 2025, where I currently teach Mathematics to Grade 10–12 students.
