Candidates About

I have been doing cover classes at several campuses in Hanoi as an ESL/IELTS Teacher, and as a Kindergarten teacher. I would like to further my experience and passion in teaching with your reputable institution.

With 4 years of experience in a secondary school setting and 10 years in a Corporate Business English Training position, I am confident in my ability to contribute effectively to the academic and personal development of students at your esteemed institution.

As a teacher, I would like to be a part of a team that molds and develops young learners with values and character that lays the foundation of knowledge and abilities that are critical for achievements in the 21st Century which is definitely aligned to the goals of your curriculum.

My teaching philosophy is aligned to John Dewey's Progressivism. I believe that education is focused on helping learners love learning, and should inspire the student to be inquisitive, experimental, and problem solvers. I am also a firm believer that through education, we can promote social reform, and democratic values, which fosters sustainability and long-term goals.

As an educator, I am convinced that the development of a child must be holistic – mental, spiritual, emotional, and social. And an individual is part of a society and a steward of the environment.

I was a Grade 10 Class Adviser, and I taught the core subjects – Math, English, Science, and Social Studies. We conduct classes indoor and outdoor to use authentic learning experiences to make it meaningful and relevant to their daily lives.

I also worked as a Communications and Technical Trainer. The 10-year experience honed my teaching abilities in an adult learning environment as it promotes two-way learning structure. Also, the learning setup is proof that learning is lifelong, and as adults, education entails giving back to society and nature, and sustaining life and living.

Gamification and Educational Technology also augments my teaching. I believe that an engaging classroom brings meaningful exchange of ideas resulting in meaningful learning.
