I believe that Vietnam would be the ideal place to hone my skills as an English teacher. After spending three weeks in this beautiful country, I knew that I would come back teach. In particular, I could see myself living and working in Hanoi - my favourite place!
I have taught classes only as a volunteer up to this point so now is my time to grow in a professional capacity. My current job does not allow for professional development anywhere near as much as English teaching would nor does it allow me to contribute to a stronger global society. I feel that I could be of great assistance to any student with the desire to improve his or her English abilities. If I can improve one person’s life – give them a better chance of finding a job or helping them gain the confidence to visit an English-speaking country – then my role as a teacher has been successful.
My greatest passion in life is to help others to achieve their potential. There is nothing that I find more rewarding than making a difference in another person’s life, than facilitating others to create a change, no matter how great or how insignificant it may be. I want to use my passion for helping others to contribute to the global society, to encourage people of all generations to follow the dreams.
I will arrive in Hanoi on March 3rd 2017!
