"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - Nelson Mandela.
This quote deeply resonates with me because education has not only changed my life but also inspired me to help shape others' lives. I am Dominic Russel A. Ybañez, When I was in my Senior High school, I had a teacher who inspired me to become an educator. He instilled in me the value of education in our lives and ignited a fire in my heart to pursue a degree in education at university. It was a challenging 4 years, yet fulfilling, knowing that I am preparing myself for a fruitful future. I took up a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social Studies. In my 4th year, it is a prerequisite for a student teacher to teach in a school in the Philippines for 3 to 4 months. I was assigned to Mandaue City Comprehensive National High School, which served as my first training ground as a teacher. I taught grade 7 students from 7 sections. It was an eye-opening experience for me and made me realize that all learners have different learning needs, and as a teacher, it is my responsibility to cater to those needs. After my teaching internship, I earned my degree with flying colors (Cum Laude).
